A Drunken Blur

Re: John falling off the face of the earth...

Still here. Still breathing. And in decent shape, even. The last week has been very busy, and when I've had a few minutes, I haven't had access to the internet, so that's why I haven't updated. Fortunately, I got my permanent assignment at work on Friday, and I officially have access to the 'net again. Woo hoo...color me excited.

So where do I start? I suppose I start with the festivities with Matt's birthday party, and then go from there. Dinner was at Maggiano's, and a good time was had by all. If anything, the only distraction to all of that was that it costed a bit more than I had counted on.

Which leads me to issue #1...John is fixating on money WAY too much lately, and he needs to just chill.

The next evening (Friday the 12th) was Matt's company's Christmas party. We had a blast...Casino night was much more fun than I originally thought it would be. We got a room at the hotel where the party was, which allowed for quite a bit of quality time (including me sleeping longer than Matt...a first). That was followed by a trip to the mall for lunch and Build-a-Bear for Matt's birthday (don't ask...he just wanted one).

The party that night for the holidays was a blast, but there was entirely too much alcohol floating around. I rarely get drunk, but the few times that I do tend to be accidental. Normally, I'll have a couple of beers, and that's it. This time, I started out with hot chocolate spiked with Bailey's, and then moved on to White Russians. As I drink more, the drinks just appear in front of me, and I guess I feel it's my duty to finish them like the trooper I am. Let's just say I remember getting back to Matt's (we walked), but I don't remember going to bed.

I need to log off here...I'll fill in more of the blanks (if I can remember them) later.
