The last three days have been a bit of a blur, but being on the road, away from the things that I call my usual routine tend to make me feel that way. It's almost as if I shut down my usual attention to detail and just go with the flow. So the best way to go through this is to bullet the past three days.

-Vegas, ya haven't won me over yet. It sure ain't for a lack of trying, though. All the stuff I want to do there costs more than a pretty penny, so in my mind, I make it all unattainable. Helps keep me from feeling disappointed. And let's not talk about the HEAT of the past three days. Last night, I walked down the Strip at 1:45, and the sweat was leaking through my shirt. That's NOT a pretty picture.

-Meetings were mind-numbing, but nothing major to report.

-The boss and I had ANOTHER talk about my performance, and a couple of issues that fell through the cracks. In my defense, some of the problems were caused by other people not listening, and some were from before the first talk, so I'm not freaked, but I'm really over this "sub-par performance" crap. I KNOW I can do better.

-I only went out one of three nights. Fell asleep before 10 the other two nights in my luxurious sweet that lists at $1200 on the high end of their rates (courtesy of that little card in the closet that they have to put up by law). No...I paid much less than that, but I still didn't quite feel like I got $200/night worth out of the room. Left Matt a message when I got there about how much I REALLY wish he could have been there to share it with me.

-Walked out of the casino last night with $1 more than I walked in with. Of course this morning I realized that the ATM machine I went to before I gambled charged $3, so I actually ended up $2 short, but who's counting?

-Matt and I had a quick dinner tonight and did a little shopping, and I'm gonna crash at his place tomorrow before I head out again. It never ceases to amaze me just how much that boy makes me smile, even when he's not around.

I'm sure I'll come up with more tomorrow...aren't YOU so lucky?
